Church Planting

It is the hope of the Directorship that there will be a new congregation started every couple of years. In fact, they would like to see a new congregation start every year. However, the start-up cost is not a small one. We must have more "Seed Money" on hand to reach this goal. We have some seed money and earmarked it for the "New Church Fund". At this writing KEA is supporting one congregation. It is South Parkersburg Christian Church.

UPDATE ON KYOWVA’S NEW CHURCH

Concerning the new Parkersburg, WV congregation (South Parkersburg Christian Church), allow me to up-date you.

George A. Hall (Founding evangelist) and his family live at  South Parkersburg (2109  11th Avenue, Zip 26101 * 304/422-2742 * E-Mail: preachergeorgewv@yahoo.com).

First service were conducted on September 23, 2001 (Sunday at 10:00 AM).  The start-up meeting place was the "Comfort Suites" Conference Room(s).  They were able to secure an apartment building of their own and have remodeled it into their first church building.  They conducted their first services on December 18, 2005 at their new home at 2200 10th Ave.  on the Southside of Parkersburg, WV.   A Church Building Dedication Service was September 10, 2006.

As brethren and friends of KYOWVA, we are asking you to do a couple of things:

1) Help us to publicize this "young congregation". We need it publicized from the pulpit, in church bulletins, newsletters, e-mail, snail-mail, telephone, telegraph, telephone, and etc.  A baby needs encouragement and financial support.

2) If possible, attempt to round up at least a car load a week, from your congregation, for several months, to attend these services. A crowd draws a crowd!

3) Promote your class, fellowship, and congregation to stand behind this new church prayerfully and financially. We need more to commit to an extra $100 per month, or whatever you can afford, for this young congregation.

4) Send any leads (names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses of relatives, friends, etc. in the Parkersburg area) to Bro. George.
